MTS Journal 

     Started to drive for MTS in March 2016. So far, I really enjoy this type of work.  

Have a really good boss, and good team. 

 Our yard is very small, not much room to park trailers at, sometimes can be a pain.

Deliver to Ford an GM almost everyday. 

Lots of hours, and good benefits, when we get busy again.  One draw back, is the shutdowns. At GM and Ford.  

Sometimes we sit around up to 2 to 5 hours, at the shipper. Heard that some drivers even sat around for 10 hours or more. That is crazy. 

Last summer I went on a road trip to Springfield,IL and Louisville, KY. That was my route for awhile. Until I had issues with the 'Kenworth Truck I was driving in. 

Now I'm mostly doing local runs.

I'll be posting up interesting facts, about the towns. I visited on my blog.

Friday....

My boss called me, to see if I want to do a road trip. Going to Warrensburg, Missouri first.
Then head to Wentzville, Missouri second.

Arrived at Warrensburg Missouri at 1300 hours. Departed 1415..
Arrived at Wentzville, Missouri 1800 hours.
Checked in at 5:45 pm at the security gate.

Was told they will call me, when ready. Good thing I had a sleeper truck.
It was 10pm, when they called me in. Had to dropped my trailer, an unhooked the trailer.

Us drivers couldn't be in our trucks, have to be in the driver lounge.

1130pm, started to unload the trailer, an reloaded.
It was an full house in the driver lounge.

A lot of drivers started to get cranky. Some of them been there over 10-14 hours waiting.
Someone told us, it's a new warehouse. Not fully staff yet.
So it made things worst.
230am my number finally appeared.

Went to sleep around 330am. Didn't wake up until 10am.
Drove nonstop to oak Grove, Missouri. Took a short nap, then drove the rest to the yard.

Couldn't release the fifth wheel, it was frozen. So I had to leave the truck, still hooked to the trailer.
