Missouri Bridge Fairfax District

The New Missouri River Bridge in FairFax District Kansas

As I drove over the bridge near Fairfax District area in Kansas. Its interesting to watch the workers on the bridge, over the Missouri river. The workers must have a very good balance, and focusing on their job. Boy one false move on the bridge, and a worker could fall into the Missouri River. Luckily there is a safety boat, down below to rescue them. At least the workers have safety harness on, just in case. These men and woman must be very brave. Working up very high above the mighty Missouri River.

Animals crossing

I was approaching near the Missouri Bridger off on I-635 south. Saw a family of 5 baby ducks, and the mother. Luckily I had time to slow down, in my truck to see them. I wasn't sure where the mother duck is taking the young ones too. On the other side of the road, is blocked by barricades. Came few inches hitting the family. If something would of happened to the family of ducks. I would called the 'Wildlife rescuers". To see if they can rescue them, before they get hurt. I drove back, and didn't see them, but I did saw a turkey.

Thursday March 4, 2016

Pickup a Blue Buffalo load in Joplin, Mo. Heading north on us249. Looking in my passenger mirror. Notice there was white smoke coming from the tires.
Then I realize, that my trailers brakes got locked.

Called the road breakdown. I was told to drive back to Joplin, Missouri.
I just let the tires cool off, before I drove back to Joplin, Missouri.
Sat at the Petro parking lot for 3 hours, before the Petro Truck Shop called me in for repairs.

The mechanic told me. It was good thing I drove back. One of the brakes was pretty much toasted. I'm very glad nothing terrible bad happened.
Had seen tires catch on fire before.
I was just, about to call 911.

That was my excitement for the day..

1/2/16

 Driver Journal:

Went to drop the trailer off at the Union Pacific railroad this morning. After I drop the trailer, I was assigned to another trailer. Drove around the rail yard, for awhile looking for it.

Apparently the container was in the staging area. It's in the area, not in the yard yet. It's on hold.
So Burnie told me, to head back home. For the day. So I'm not going to volunteer on the weekends anymore.

Felt like it was an wasteful day. Could went to the Temple.
